Association of Rural Property Owners of the Balearic Islands

Defending rural property, conservation and its future in the Balearic Islands.

The Association of Rural Property Owners of the Balearic Islands is a private-law association registered in the Register of Associations of the Balearic Islands by Resolution of the Regional Minister of the Presidency dated 3 October 2011.

Under its statutes, the Association’s purposes include:

  1. To encourage and support official institutions, organisations, associations and individuals in the Balearic Islands and elsewhere in creating public awareness favourable to respect for the rights of owners of privately owned rural properties in the Balearic Islands, whose efforts have contributed to their conservation.
  2. To encourage members to participate, through appropriate information campaigns and cooperation projects, in improving rural properties throughout the Balearic Islands while respecting their diversity, individual freedom and the privacy of members.
  3. To defend members against false accusations, damage or any attack on their rights over their properties arising from actions by associations, public or private bodies, individuals or legal entities, including erroneous or arbitrary interpretations of legal or administrative rules or abusive practices.
  4. To promote cooperation by public and private institutions and organisations in the development of rural areas within the Association’s territorial scope.
  5. To study official, administrative, regulatory or legal provisions and draft provisions that may reduce, restrict or limit ownership or use rights, or impose limitations, burdens, restrictions, charges or easements on rural properties.
  6. To manage and administer amounts delivered to the Association for all or some of its members by public or private, international, national, regional or local entities.
